December 18, 2009. Nina Phipps’ grade 8 Italian students taught an introductory lesson to Nancy Plasencia’s grade 4 students at Cherry Lane Elementary. SMS students conducted a ‘rehearsal’ the day before to practice the logistics of speaking into the camera and to organize the group presentations. SMS Students were grouped according to subjects and prepared flash cards words and sentences. They held up the cards and asked the Cherry Lane students questions reflecting their subject area.
